We are looking for a Sourcing Manager CDMO who is strategic, analytical and motivated to join our Global Procurement department based out of our offices in Braine, Belgium or Bulle, Switzerland.

About The Job

You will work independently or part of a team to manage projects and ensure their successful deployment across the organisation. You will perform sourcing activities using the tools at your disposal, collect data from experts and oversee existing contracts and implement improvements. Stakeholder engagement will also be important in this role as you will build solid relationships and trust with your colleagues, business stakeholders and suppliers.

Who You’ll Work With

At Global Procurement we have embarked into a transformational journey aimed to leverage our function to generate incremental value for UCB. Our team is primarily focused on upstream procurement, business partnering, market analysis, demand management, negotiation, contract management and supplier relationship management.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and nurture supplier relationships
  • Support procurement strategies by providing market dynamics, benchmarking, assessment of competitive landscape and market intelligence
  • Handling full RFI / RFQ processes
  • Consider market trends, the competitive landscape and the dynamics around supply markets
  • Perform commercial analysis of bids
  • Set up contractual agreements ensuring appropriate company protection
  • Negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers
  • Contributing to specific objectives in the area of efficiency, risk, sustainability
  • Acting as escalation/contact point for selected suppliers or specific areas

Interested? For this position, you’ll need the following education, experience, and skills:

  • Master degree in Business Administration, Science, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, or similar relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Procurement roles under regulated industries supporting external manufacturing organization (Drug product CDMO) for pharma industry
  • Experience in large and complex contract agreement & negotiations
  • A good understand or a fast learning in the areas of engineering, manufacturing, biology or material sciences
  • Great communication skills – ability to think creatively, engage in effective communication and promote change with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • SAP experience is a plus
