About the business division:

The Corporate Bank is a market leader in risk management for FX and Rates, cash management, lending, trade finance, trust and agency services as well as securities services. Our Coverage teams manage the Corporate Bank’s key client relationships across the full suite of Corporate and Investment Bank products.

As such, Coverage Bankers work across business divisions focusing on Client Relationship Management and Origination to deliver outstanding solutions for our clients. Business opportunities span over the whole treasury spectrum, including lending, debt capital markets financing, FX, trade finance, cash management and more, both at the head office level and with our clients’ subsidiaries across all countries where Deutsche Bank is present.

About the Graduate Programme:

Your training starts with an invaluable induction that will give you a broad understanding of our business. Our senior leadership will share their vision for Deutsche Bank with you. After that, expect to benefit from three weeks of fast-paced and interactive technical and professional skills training that will begin your continuous learning journey within the programme.

Then you’ll start working alongside your colleagues in the Commodity Traders Coverage Team and get first hand insights into an incredibly interesting industry covering the most reputable commodity trading firms in tandem with your Senior bankers. During your journey, you will assist in advisory of key client relationships (up to C-Suite), business origination ( from pitch phase to execution) and strategic business development, thus building a high quality network of internal and external stakeholders. While you will gain significant experience on the job, your development path will be further paved with additional (ad-hoc) training and team rotations where possible.

Your skills and background:

You ideally hold or are in the process of obtaining a differ entiating degree in Business, Economics, Finance or equivalent and gathered the first industry experience in relevant internships and/or working student positions. Your key responsibilities:

  • Assist the Corporate Coverage Senior Bankers in advisory of key client relationships, business origination and identification of prospect clients
  • Maintain and coordinate frequent dialogue with product partners across Deutsche Bank’s global network to deliver against the client agenda
  • Produce best in class presentations to support Deutsche Bank’s marketing effort and client pitches
  • Provide financial analysis, risk assessment and analytical support for clients’ situations
  • Daily interactions and support of our Deutsche Bank Local Corporate Coverage Bankers internationally in their origination effort and implementation of transactions
  • Support the development of clients’ credit strategy and subsequent credit approval requests
  • Assist team leaders to form viable business strategies, implementation plans, as well as prompt work process adjustments to adapt to changes in the market/regulatory environments

Eligibility criteria:

  • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree or have graduated within 12 months of the graduate programme start date
  • You have no more than 12 months of relevant post-graduate work experience
