Context:
- FIND (the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostic) is currently engaged in developing its 2030 strategy, for launch by end Q2 or in Q3 2024 (final timing TBD).
- Strategy development involves a number of parallel work components, including:
- Strategy content development, carried out by thematic working groups (each led by member of the FIND Executive Team and including a few other staff members);
- External stakeholder consultations;
- Periodic strategy sessions with the FIND Board (leading to strategy’s eventual approval and formal launch);
- Internal engagement/updating (Executive Team, FIND staff); and
- Development of formal strategy document.
- Strategy development is led by the FIND acting CEO and Executive Team, with the help of a senior global health strategy consultant. To supplement this arrangement, FIND is seeking an additional consultant to play the role of Project Manager & Senior Analyst.
Key tasks:
Working closely with the senior global health strategy consultant, the Project Manager & Senior Analyst consultant will project-manage, support, and help coordinate the above work components, as well as other aspects of strategy development that may arise.
Specific tasks (among others) will include:
- Planning, project managing, ensuring coherence and integration of the various strategy development components;
- Developing key materials (templates, guidance, etc.) to support effective and efficient strategy development;
- Summarising input received, drawing insights/implications, and adapting cross-cutting strategy documentation accordingly;
- Designing, drafting, reviewing, advancing key strategic content (Board materials, strategy document outline, etc.).
Profile needed:
- Experience and knowledge of global health; ideally some knowledge of diagnostics / FIND;
- Strategy development experience and strategic mindset;
- Robust analytic skills, structured strategic thinking (management consulting experience a plus);
- Significant project and process management experience;
- Excellent writing/PPT skills;
- Proactive, efficient, responsive;
- Strong people skills.
Timeframe and time commitment:
- Now to July/September (exact end date TBC once Board decides strategy completion date)
- 60% FTE level on average across the project duration (3 days per week on average), with peaks and troughs depending on phase of the project
