Your mission/Position objective:
Business Intelligence (BI) at FIND is a cross-cutting and multidisciplinary unit that spans across all FIND disease programs within the organization, and aims at informing strategic decision-making through an efficient management of intelligence on diagnostic products, industry players and IVD market, and a high-level of coordination between FIND’s project teams and external partners. The BI unit works across four pillars: Technology Scouting, Market Intelligence (MI), Industry Partner Selection and Industry Partnership. The MI team collects market insights and conducts market research activities such as competitive landscape, market sizing & segmentation, willingness to pay, COGS analysis, etc. to inform project scoping, assess & identify new opportunities and support access term negotiations with industry partners.
The Senior MI Officer will work closely with the MI Manager and Market Officers to conduct market research activities in close collaboration with FIND’s health programs and cross-cutting units/departments such as Technology Innovation & Product Development, Impact and Access. We are looking for an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial mind-set with direct experience in, product launch, commercialization strategies and market research/business intelligence to support a portfolio of projects spanning multiple disease and service areas within FIND. The Senior MI Officer will play a critical role in FIND’s strategic decisions, in health programs strategy and in shaping the terms of collaborations with project partners.
The main missions are listed below:
- market research/intelligence activities to provide actionable insights and guide health program strategy
- and consolidate business and market analyses data to shape the access terms and support negotiation activities with FIND’s partners
- FIND’s network of partners and service providers to improve FIND’s Market Intelligence reach
- repository for market intelligence outputs and ensure impactful communication of data internally and externally to enhance knowledge on market opportunities in LMICs
Qualifications/skills required:
- Business degree (B.A, MBA) or degree (BSc, MSc, PhD) in life sciences, public health or related field complemented with a business training
- 5 years of experience, preferably in the medical device or diagnostics industry, in new product launch, market research, consumer insights, analytics, marketing or other related function. A mix of industry and global public health experience would also be considered.

- proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint and comfortable with moderately big datasets.
